Walking, trekking or simply strolling is the best way to get to know and see Poreč, its old city centre, the entire Riviera and stay in excellent physical shape. An active holiday in contact with nature will positively affect your health and mood and is recommended for all ages.
Poreč is filled with walking paths and thanks to long promenades in the shade of pine trees all romantic strollers will find their place on benches along the sea stretching from the city centre to Plava Laguna. If you have the strength you can continue your walk further along towards Zelena Laguna and discover Poreč’s idyllic lagoons and small coves.
For recreationists with insatiable spirits, a trail on the northern side of Poreč stretches from the recreational zone to Materada where you can walk in the fresh air while being caressed by a sea breeze.
Thanks to the mild Mediterranean climate you will surely not be alone as you head out on Poreč’s walking trails no matter the time of year, from early spring right up until the end of winter.

A stroll around Poreč’s old city centre can begin at Trg Slobode (Freedom Square) from where you can entre Decumanus Street and continue along the narrow streets exploring the city’s sights. From the other side, entering at the Poreč’s Lungomare (promenade along the sea) or from the Ante Šonja Shore, you will see before you a romantic view of the northern side of Poreč, Peškera Cove and the Pical and Materada neighbourhoods. Continue your stroll to Matko Laginja Shore to the city waterfront or Maršal Tito Shore and in this way you will have walked around the former city walls and passed around the entire old city of Poreč.
